Investing in sports is the foundation of victories
Sport-In
A regular Forum of Regions was held in Moscow on the basis of the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University. This is a traditional platform where representatives of business, government and science can exchange views on the state of affairs in the economy and ways to overcome problems.
For us, the most interesting event of the event was the round table Tasks of business in the implementation of the country's sports mega-plans. The Olympics were successful, new starts are next in line: the Universiade, the Aquatics Championship, the 2018 World Cup. How to make big sport serve the cause of solving the strategic task of the state – the improvement of the nation? How to make the most rational use of the grandiose sports facilities under construction?

Joseph Blatter: World Cup 2018 stays in Russia
FIFA President Joseph Blatter said that the federation has no plans to change the venue of the 2018 World Cup.
“We are not going to change anything about the next world championships. In 2014 the World Cup will be held in Brazil. At the moment we have no problems with hosting the 2018 World Cup in Russia.”
Recall that earlier, US senators demanded that FIFA take away the right to host the 2018 World Cup from Russia and exclude it from the number of participants in the 2014 World Cup.
Simultaneously with Blatter's statement, important statements were made in Moscow regarding the 2018 World Cup. Sports Minister Vitaliy Mutko told the participants of the meeting dedicated to the construction of facilities for the Championship that all stadiums should be put into operation by May 2017. And the Director General of FSUE Sport-In Alexander Vasyukov said that the construction of stadiums will begin no later than July this year.

Journalists! Let's help football veterans!
On the first day of spring, Zvenigorod, near Moscow, will host the traditional, already sixth mini-football tournament among Soviet sports veterans in memory of V. Broshin. The real idols of many, many fans of Soviet football, who once played for CSKA, Spartak, Lokomotiv, will come out on the field to shake the old days. The names of the participants of the tournament – Boris Kopeikin, Fedor Cherenkov, Alexander Kuznetsov, Alexander Kokarev and others – are well known both to sports historians and real experts in Russian football. And on March 1, they are back in the game!
FSUE Sport-In, which provides organizational assistance in holding this wonderful event, appeals to all the media with an appeal to support our tournament in every possible way and cover it as widely as possible.

Sport-In is always open to the press
On January 10, 2014, Novaya Gazeta published an article Golden Ball, Golden Gates …, which touched upon some aspects of preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.Naturally, our organization was also mentioned, and not in a complimentary way. We certainly cannot agree with many of the theses of this publication:
– we do not consider the return of funds transferred by us earlier to erroneous details as doubtful financial transactions;
– PI Arena is a young company only in terms of formal parameters – the timing of its establishment due to the corporatization of MNIIP Mosproekt-4. But in fact, it is the heir and successor of the most powerful architectural trend in Soviet and Russian sports construction. Therefore, the victory of PI Arena in our competition is natural;
– we are not Glavstadionstroy (although the irony is understandable).
However, this is not about our claims. As they say, how many people, so many opinions. It is important for us that the editors of Novaya Gazeta, in full compliance with the rules of honest journalism, gave the floor to the General Director of FSUE Sport-In A.N. Vasyukov to present our point of view, and used his answers in the text of the article.
Unfortunately, in recent years, such an approach is rarely encountered. More often, journalists come with an already formed negative attitude that prevents them from listening to their opponent.
For our part, we are always ready to cooperate with the press. We have no secrets from society, we are open and transparent. And to fellow journalists, we ask only one thing: please be objective and competent.

Maybe it's censorship?
Why the free press does not like FSUE Sport-In
At the beginning of the month, the ELEPHANT portal hit us. Questions were sent on Saturday, their own material was put up, without waiting for our answers, already on Tuesday … They obviously do not understand our work, and we were not particularly offended. They answered – sportin.su/press-center/2013/12/05/elephants-now-crushed/, but the female correspondent was invited for an interview. She came on December 13, questioned our general director A. Vasyukov for about an hour, and wrote an interview with him.
And nothing. The elephant does not publish interviews.
And even earlier in November, a reporter from Dozhd, Rodion Chepel, asked for us. I came to Deputy General Director D. Popov, who oversees the design of stadiums for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and asked him for about an hour about corruption and theft. Our D. Popov – as you understand, the most unoccupied person in the world – patiently explained everything, gave documents and showed projects. Chapel left satisfied.
And nothing. Dozhd does not show interviews, does not answer questions from the press service.
Guys, free press! You accuse your opponents of censorship, the presence of black lists and taboo topics. Well, how are you with that? It turns out that if reality does not fit into the framework of a pre-prepared structure (all thieves, corrupt officials, scammers), then freelance journalists ignore it. After all, they are simply not interested in honest work. So, maybe you shouldn’t bother people with your questions, if everything is already clear to you even without their answers?
