The Russian brigade led by Sergey Karasev received an official invitation to the match of the championship of Saudi Arabia. This was reported on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
The report notes that Karasev's brigade will work at the match, which will take place on May 5. The judging quartet, in addition to Karasev, will include Igor Demeshko, Maxim Gavrilin and Vitaly Meshkov. The first two will work as linesmen, and Meshkov will help as a video assistant.
“The practice of inviting foreign arbitrators is widespread all over the world. The Saudi Arabian Football Federation regularly invites UEFA-recommended referees to work at matches, the RFU said.
